The BSc in Computing and Information Systems changed my perception of learning. In the past I used to think the only way to acquire specialist knowledge is to undergo formal education. However I also believe that with perseverance and the will to really learn something you can do it on your own.
As an example for our project we had to come up with something innovative with academic value. I produced a mobile application which uses GPS technology. I had no prior knowledge of GPS yet with time and effort I was able to compete the project. This taught me that we need not necessarily be taught how to do something before we can do it.
