I started studying for the BSc in Economics and Management while living in Mumbai, India, when I was 18, with the aim of building an educational foundation that would carry me through the rest of my life.
Studying with the University of London International Programmes enabled me to complete my undergraduate degree in a total of 3 countries. I began in India, moved to Dubai, and finally I completed my degree in New York City when my family migrated there.
I found it was one of the toughest ways to get through college, but most importantly, I managed to obtain a degree from a world class institution, and have the academic journey of a life time, and all at a fraction of the cost without compromising on quality.
I found that a British education is very well received by employers, recruiters and professors in the US because of breadth, depth, fresh perspectives and the way it develops the skill in thinking outside the box - which is something NYC constantly wants. I got several job offers and I was often praised for doing a degree of this calibre by distance learning as it demonstrated my ability to multitask and efficiently plan for my future at a young age.
My degree was instrumental in helping me to get my first job in a Forbes top 40 investment company on Park Avenue, New York, and today I work as an administrator in the field of private equity and real estate for a multimillion dollar buy-side investor.
