I chose the University of London as it is a well recognized university and since it gave me a wide array of choices of courses. In addition, I could select those subjects that I believed would help me in my career.
The University of London International Programmes allowed me to earn a world-class degree by staying in my home country. This gave me the opportunity to work during the period I was studying for my degree, which has given me a distinct advantage, specially because the degree was very much academic in content.
The flexibility and the quality of the content of the study programme [BSc Management] is one of the main features in a University of London degree and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. The theoretical approach of the study programme has helped me to grasp the fundamentals and to comprehend much better. This places me at an advantage over some of my friends who have studied for similar degrees at other institutions, whose understanding of the fundamentals is not that good.
I started as an intern at a local environmental organisation and am now working in the capacity of a programme assistant. The knowledge that I gained from this course has helped me immensely at my work place, giving me the skill to look at situations more analytically. The economics and accounting background gives me an edge over my colleagues who are mostly science graduates.
I want to pursue a career in environmental or development economics and it is my belief that the sound start I obtained from the University of London will help to achieve my goals.
