‘I realised the pressing need to acquire up-to-date business knowledge in order to stay competitive in today’s dynamic international market, even though I had worked for many years after achieving my undergraduate degree and had also run my own business.
I chose the Royal Holloway MBA by distance learning as it not only provided the greatest flexibility for students in relation to learning and examinations but also provided worldwide networking, which is also a valuable asset.
It is not easy for people who are committed to working full-time to study on campus, for example, I used to work with overseas markets especially in Europe, and travelled extensively around the world so it was difficult for me to stay in one place to work and study. However, I was still able to study via the internet provided by Royal Holloway via the University of London International Programmes of University of London and sit examinations twice a year, which fitted with my personal time table.
Looking ahead, my career success rests on my ability to manage international business. This MBA programme provides me with both in-depth academic knowledge and very practical wisdom crystallized from the international business arena, especially via class interactions with instructors and classmates through HKU SPACE’s tutorial classes and RHUL’s master classes and plenary sessions .
I believe in one thing, “No pain no gain”. This MBA is a challenging course reserved for those who are well prepared. Finally I did earn some great friendships and networking opportunities which is an extra bonus from this MBA programme.’
