Profile on: Jane Sendall

Jane Sendall completed an MSc in Organizational Psychology (developed by Birkbeck) to help her in her career and improve her marketability at Time Warner, the world's leading media and entertainment company.
Although Jane is an experienced HR development specialist with several qualifications and practical certificates under her belt, she really felt the need to deepen her knowledge of organizational psychology and increase her confidence and credibility.
In order to do this, however, Jane needed to find the right course which was flexible enough to allow her to work full time, fulfil her travel commitments with work and reach her ambition of adopting a child in the UK.
Given this, when Jane found that she could do a distance learning MSc through the University of London, it was the perfect choice.
Jane believed that the MSc would improve her career prospects and halfway through her course she was promoted to the position of Senior Manager, International People Development.
Jane's role now focuses on delivering senior level leadership development programmes to help develop senior executives in Time Warner.
Jane commented: "This course has definitely increased and improved my critical and strategic thinking, given me much more confidence in my work and enabled me to challenge and convince my managers, coaches and suppliers more effectively. It has brought me up to date in the key areas of organizational psychology and opened doors in my career path which I previously didn't have."
One month after she completed her course in 2006, Jane and her husband finally adopted their baby daughter.
