About the University of London International Academy

The University of London International Academy collaborates with 12 Colleges of the University of London to offer flexible and distance learning programmes worldwide. These are delivered through the University of London International Programmes.

We are funded by our students in return for the services we provide for them and not by the UK government, which is a model that has allowed us to grow in response to student demand.

Our aims are to:

We were formally set up by the University of London’s Board of Trustees as a ‘Central Academic Body’, which is an educational, academic or research institution that has been established in accordance with University of London Statutes.

We are governed by the Board of the International Academy, and related committees [PDF: 1pg, 158KB] reporting to the University of London Collegiate Council. The Board determines our strategic direction; monitors our performance; and approves our annual budget and accounts.
