Become a more involved member of the University of London student community
We want to give you the chance to use your voice in a way that will improve your experience as a learner, whether you study independently or attend a teaching institution. The YouEngage series highlights the different ways you can do this.
Every year, thousands of you interact with academic staff and each other through your programme VLE, share thoughts and experiences on being a student via the Official Student Blog, and contribute to discussions on our Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+ and Instagram channels.
Help improve the student experience
There are opportunities for you to serve on the university’s academic committees and quality panels, and online focus groups which gather feedback on topics affecting the student experience. Let us know which areas of the student lifecycle we do well, and which areas we could improve upon by looking out for and completing our student surveys.
Read the report on our 2015-16 Student Experience Survey to see reflections on what it is like to be an International Programmes student.
Getting to know the University
To help us work together effectively, take some time to read these documents. The Student Charter is a framework for the partnership between you and the University, explaining the standards and values to which we aspire, and suggesting steps that you can take to benefit from your time as a student with us. Each programme also has an individual Programme Handbook and Programme Information and Regulations.
Student guide to the International Programmes [pdf: 40pgs, 1.97MB] is a succinct summary of how the University is organised, and will help you understand the best way of communicating with us during your studies.
