Our unique location at the heart of Paris offers our students access to some of the world’s most important political, economic, educational and cultural institutions

The University of London Institute in Paris (ULIP) has a long and prestigious history as the first British Institute on continental Europe. We have been working to promote Franco-British cultural and linguistic exchange for over 150 years and offer an outstanding French Studies programme for undergraduates wishing to immerse themselves in life in France while they master the French language.

New for the 2018-19 academic year, ULIP is introducing a suite of BA programmes in International Politics. Taught entirely in English at our Paris premises, these new BA programmes offer students the opportunity to learn about “doing International Politics” while gaining valuable international experience of living cross-culturally. Courses include a BA in International Politics, a BA in International Politics with French Studies, and the opportunity to study both courses with or without a year abroad beyond Paris. Developed in partnership with Queen Mary University of London, these BAs offer an unparalleled learning experience, drawing on the distinctive strengths and academic expertise of both institutions.

"All our courses give our graduates invaluable experience of living internationally and working cross-culturally"

Our unique location at the heart of Paris offers our students access to some of the world’s most important political, economic, educational and cultural institutions. The city has been ranked top student city for four years and offers a wealth of things to do, see, and experience. ULIP’s position, located in a quintessentially Haussmann-ian building on the left bank, also offers a vital bridge between continental Europe and the British Isles – a connection of ever-increasing importance in the years ahead.

ULIP’s range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes spans French Studies, Urban History, International Relations and Politics, and Law. All our courses give our graduates invaluable experience of living internationally and working cross-culturally, preparing them for global careers. Studying at the University of London Institute in Paris, in the heart of one of the world's most beautiful cities, really is a truly life-changing experience.
