The Institute of Education (IOE), a graduate College of the University of London, has been ranked as the world's leading university for Education in the 2014 QS World University Rankings.

First compiled in 2004, the annual QS World University Rankings considers over 2,000 institutions worldwide and ranks the top 400 on a range of criteria including research citations and reputation.

Welcoming the QS announcement, Professor Chris Husbands, Director of the IOE, said: "This is a fantastic endorsement of the outstanding quality of teaching and research at the Institute. The Institute has been a passionate advocate for Education for more than a century and I would like to congratulate all IOE staff and students on this considerable achievement."
