"The BSc degree laid the foundations for my Masters degree": Reagan Yee
The degree has been extremely useful in terms of understanding what is going on in the world economy

I was born in Singapore and grew up there. I did O levels when I was 16 and A levels when I was 18. I then served in the Singapore Armed Forces for two years before commencing my studies at the Singapore Institute of Management (SIM).

After my army days, I wanted to earn a degree from a reputable university, which was the reason why I decided to sign up for the BSc Economics and Finance with the University of London.

I studied BSc Economics and Finance because I am keen to work in the financial services sector. Moreover, this degree offers an excellent balance between quantitative and qualitative analysis.

The SIM lecturers were really friendly and helpful to students. The school has great facilities where students can hold group discussions or conduct independent studying. With hindsight, I am very proud to have studied at SIM because of the friends that I have made.

Throughout my undergraduate years, I had a dream – to receive my Masters education in the United Kingdom. This dream has constantly pushed me to work harder and to stay on top of the coursework.

The BSc Economics and Finance degree required constant dedication to stay on top of the syllabus. The degree has been extremely useful in terms of understanding what is going on in the world economy.

"I am now studying the same subjects as I did in my undergraduate years but in a much more analytical fashion."

I am currently reading MSc Financial Economics at the University of Oxford. The BSc degree has laid the foundations for my Masters degree. I am now studying the same subjects as I did in my undergraduate years but in a much more analytical fashion.

My short-term goal after my Masters is to launch a career in investment banking. My long-term dream is to become an institutional investment advisor.

My parents struggled really hard to ensure that my siblings and I went through university. Their life stories are an inspiration for me to work hard to achieve anything that I want in my life.
