"I was able to establish a strong understanding of which area of law I wished to practise in": Hassan Niazi
I would highly recommend the programme, especially to people studying in Pakistan, as it opens up doors towards higher education such as the BPTC

The University of London International Programmes offers a world of convenience to those who wish to study in their own country. It allowed me to obtain an internationally recognised degree while remaining in Pakistan.

It also allowed me to obtain a Qualifying Law Degree that would enable me to proceed directly towards a postgraduate degree in London where I could study the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC). This would not be possible without the International Programmes. Furthermore, it allowed me to obtain an excellent degree while paying merely a fraction of the price that I would have paid had I gone abroad to study, for essentially the same degree.

"I believe my time with the University of London helped me considerably because I was able to obtain a QLD which allowed me to gain admission to the Bar."

I am currently studying the BPTC in London. I believe my time with the University of London helped me considerably because I was able to obtain a QLD which allowed me to gain admission to the Bar. Had I done my degree from somewhere else in my country, I would not have had the luxury of being able to gain admission to the BPTC programme.

Furthermore, since I was able to study British Law and survive the intellectual demands and analytical ability that the University of London looked for, I find that I was familiar with most of the substantive law that I now had to apply practically and never felt like an outsider amongst those who had obtained their degree from the UK.

"The University of London helps you go as far as you want to without ever leaving home."

Finally, with the variety of subjects the University of London allowed me to choose from during my undergraduate years, I was able to establish a strong understanding of which area of law I wished to practise in.

I would highly recommend the programme, especially to people studying in Pakistan, as it opens up doors towards higher education such as the BPTC. It is intellectually demanding and encourages students to be open-minded in their approach towards the law. The wealth of optional subjects to choose from gives satisfaction to those with the most voracious of intellectual appetites. The University of London helps you go as far as you want to without ever leaving home.
