Entry Forms for examinations in 2012 are now available to download.
Choose from over 100 courses - please visit the 'FIND A COURSE' area of our website.
Students are reminded that the examination entry deadline each year is 1st February. The University will acknowledge receipt of all entries by email but this may take up to 10 days due to the high volume entry forms being submitted.
Examinations are usually held world-wide at a number of centres (either through the local Ministry of Education or the British Council). The examination timetable is drawn up each year after all the examination entry forms for a particular degree have been received from the Examination centres world-wide. Arrangements for an ad hoc centre are not made.
The standard of the examination for the degrees is the same as that for students studying at a college of the University. Upon graduation you will be awarded a degree which will be classified according to the marks you have obtained.
The standard of examination for the diplomas is the same as that for the first year of the related degree (some diplomas also have introductory subjects). Upon successful completion, you will be awarded a diploma which has been graded based upon the marks you have obtained.
Even though you register as an External student it does not mean you are automatically entered for your examinations. You have to apply to enter. The "Examinations Information" booklet for undergraduate students and the "Procedures booklet: Postgraduate Programmes" for postgraduate students, which you are sent as part of your study package will tell you how and when to do this.
Receiving your examination results; examination results will only be sent out by post. Your results will not be communicated to you by email, fax or by telephone.
Further information about exams (including contact details) can be found in the Student Handbooks and Regulations.
