Modern Languages - French

We would like to welcome you to another year of your degree or, for some of you, to your very first year of study with us. We hope that this new academic year will provide you with the learning opportunities you look for and fulfil your intellectual curiosity. In order to help you in the preparation for your examinations, we would like to remind you of the existence of a marking service that the French Programme offers in order that you may practise the skills that you have been learning in the context of an examination format.

This is an important resource as it offers you an assessment of your work, and more importantly, a full and detailed feedback on your performance. This feedback is given by academics who have often designed the courses you will be working on and who teach it here at Royal Holloway College. Therefore, this marking service offers a unique knowledge of what is needed to do well, or indeed very well, in a specific course.

We sincerely believe this service will enable you to gain a better sense of the methodologies required to highlight the knowledge you will be gaining and deepening throughout the year and to better understand examination techniques that are more difficult to gauge when working alone.
