Computer Marked Assessments

Information and advice

You can access the computer marked assessments for all compulsory subjects you are registered on, through the Laws VLE. If you have not received your username and password for the VLE please email us at uolia.support@london.ac.uk and include your full name and student registration number.

Please note the following

In addition to providing you with the correct answers to the questions once you have completed these assessments, you will also be provided with feedback for each answer. We cannot enter into any correspondence with you about the questions, answers or feedback.
Should you experience any problems in accessing these assessments which cannot be resolved by changing the settings on your computer we may be able to provide you with limited technical support if you email us at lawsonline@lon.ac.uk
These tests are available so that you can check your knowledge, and comprehension of the subject and your ability to apply the rules to factual situations. Although this will stand you in good stead for your examinations, as the questions in these tests do not require any in-depth analysis and/or discussion of the issues they do not reflect the type of questions you will face in the examinations.
Before you take any of the tests you must ensure that you:-

have access to a computer which complies with the specifications which you can access through the link on the right hand side of this page.

have read carefully any advice and instructions you have been given for each test.

know what area of law is being tested in each subject. You will find advice for each test in each subject which will tell you what subject topics you should have covered before you attempt a test.

feel confident about your knowledge of the area of law being tested.

have allowed yourself sufficient time to complete the test as each test may take you up to one hour to complete. Note that in order to complete the assessment you will be required to read some materials and, depending upon the speed of your computer and whether your internet connection is dial up or broadband, download times will vary.
