Induction and Weekend Courses

A message from the Director of Laws Programme

The University of London International Programmes organises each year an Induction Day and series of four intensive weekend courses for the LLB degree and Diploma in Law programmes in London in 2010-2011.

There are four weekends devoted to the Intermediate subjects and four for Finals subjects [but some optional Finals subjects will be taught at the 'Intermediate' weekends in order to minimise clashes between subjects].

If you are new to the University of London International Programmes and wish to meet fellow students and give yourself a head start in your studies OR if you have been studying for a while and want to consolidate your thoughts, join us at the London Laws Weekend courses.

Please make sure you check the timetables before filling out the application form as some clashes are possible. The timetables have been available for download from the VLE from the beginning of September 2010. You will also find there a link to online application on the VLE.

Please note that we are unable to take payments on the day of the course, so you must register online before arriving for the courses. If you fail to do so, you will not be able to attend the course.

Induction Day

Every year, the University of London International Programmes organises a one-day introduction to the LLB and Diplomas in Law. The course is designed to provide new and prospective Law students with guidance on study and examination techniques.

The fee for Induction Day is £50. You will find more information about the course in the information leaflet [pdf: 1pg, 59KB]. You can also download the map [pdf: 1pg, 119KB] of the Senate House.

Download the provisional timetable [pdf: 1pg, 70KB] for the Day and apply online.

Information pack and application form will be available for download in the summer 2010.

Revision Courses

The Undergraduate Laws Programme organises a series of revision courses in selected locations around the world. The courses are taught by the University of London tutors and offer additional support to students who can’t travel to London for the Weekend Courses. They also create an excellent opportunity for face to face contact with the EULP staff, help students concentrate on important areas of study and discuss developments. More information on the courses will be available from the Laws VLE in the Autumn.

Cambridge Revision Course

The University of Cambridge organises an annual residential revision week for students studying on the Undergraduate Laws Programme each year in early spring. This year's course will be taking place from 28 March to 1 April 2011. The course provides in-depth and structured lectures to those revising for examination. Lectures are given by experienced members of the University of Cambridge Faculty of Law as well as distinguished visiting tutors.
