UCL Institute of Education
Founded in 1902, the Institute of Education is the largest institution in the UK devoted to the study of education and related disciplines.
The Institute is a centre of excellence for teacher training, postgraduate study, research and consultancy in education and related professional practice.
In the latest UK Research Excellence Framework, 94% of the Institute's research was categorised as world-class. The Institute was also rated 'outstanding' in every category for all of its initial teacher training by the UK government regulator, Ofsted.
In 2016, it was ranked number one worldwide for Education in the QS World University Rankings by Subject for the third consecutive year.

In December 2014, the Institute merged with University College London to become the UCL Institute of Education (IOE), helping UCL to become the largest postgraduate institution in the UK.
