Queen Mary is one of the largest Colleges of the University, with a rich and diverse heritage. The College began life in 1887 as the People's Palace, a philanthropic endeavour to provide East Londoners with education and social activities. The College's Law department has a 5* rating, the highest possible rating in the UK.
