Royal Veterinary College
Royal Veterinary College (RVC) campus
The foundation in 1791 of the Veterinary College, London, now the Royal Veterinary College (RVC), marked the establishment of the veterinary profession in the UK. RVC is the largest veterinary school in the UK and one of the leading veterinary research centres in Europe. In addition to providing support for the veterinary profession through its three referral hospitals, diagnostic services and Continuing Professional Development courses, in 1999 it also became the first UK veterinary school to be granted approval by the American Veterinary Medical Association.
