If you're a UK or EU national and you've lived in England or Wales for three years, you could be eligible to apply for a Postgraduate Loan (a contribution to the costs of study) worth up to £10,280.

If you've lived in Northern Ireland for three years, you could be eligible to apply for a Postgraduate Loan (for tuition fees) worth up to £5,500.

Under these scheme from the UK government, you can apply for a loan if you are taking your first master's level programme. All of our master's courses are eligible.

How it works:

  • You apply for your master's programme via our course pages.
  • Register with us and pay for at least one module. You should only register for modules that you are intending to pay for in order to receive access to learning resources.
  • Apply for your loan separately. Enter the University of London International Programmes when selecting the University on the application.
  • We confirm your eligibility with Student Finance, which will pay the loan directly to you (England and Wales) or to the university (Northern Ireland). The loan is paid in instalments over the duration of your course.
  • If you intend to register for additional modules after completing your registration, you will be required to submit full payment of fees by the relevant deadline regardless of when the loan is paid.

Further information can be found at the relevant assessment bodies. There are different arrangements if you live in England and Wales or Northern Ireland.
