Special Admissions Panel

If you are applying to an undergraduate programme and if you do not automatically meet the entrance requirements for the programme of your choice, the Special Admissions Panel will consider your application and will make a decision on your eligibility.

This Panel will consider all aspects of your application, including all your qualifications, so it is most important to list them all, even incomplete qualifications should be included if you are unsure of your eligibility. All relevant work experience should be included, together with your reasons for applying for this programme.

However, it should be appreciated that applications are rarely accepted by us on the basis of age and/or work experience alone. Evidence of recent study is usually required. The Panel may decide that you need to obtain an additional qualification(s) before an offer of registration can be made.

This panel may also ask you to provide evidence of your competence in English, and may require you to obtain an acceptable Test of Proficiency in English [PDF: 1pg, 112KB], before being allowed to register.

If you are unsure of your eligibility and would like advice on the acceptability of your qualifications, please follow our application procedure by completing the application form and submitting it along with the application handling fee and all supporting documentary evidence, so that the Special Admissions Office can consider your case. Please note that no informal decisions can be given until this has been done.
