Study in Mauritius
For a University of London Degree

London - a world class university with 150 years heritage of providing degrees by flexible and distance learning

Over 650 students in Mauritius study for our courses. The majority are studying law or the business-related courses, and some are studying for our BA in French. Some students study independently but many undergraduate students choose to study at local teaching institution. See the full list of institutions in Mauritius that teach for our programmes.

Our qualifications are internationally recognized and portable and many of our graduates have gone on to develop successful careers in business, commerce, law and other areas. Students study and take their exams locally through the British Council. However, if your work or family causes you to move you can take your studies with you as we have exam centres all over the world. Assessment is the responsibility of the Colleges of the University of London, so you can be sure of the high quality of the University of London degree.

What do students in Mauritius say about studying with the University of London?

Saroj Gopamah, Maistry

"I chose the University of London not only for the prestige it attracts but also for the high quality of its courses and its very practical formula of distance learning, which enabled me to study at my own pace and in my own time. However the challenge I faced was to keep going simultaneously on three fronts: work, caring for my two teenage sons, and, studying.

The degree has helped me acquire management skills and the fact that I studied law as well as management enabled me to gain a lead position in a specialized institution which investigates corruption and money laundering. I  then moved onto a role in compliance in a bank.

I am now considering setting up my own business and my management and law background will provide tremendous help.

As a person the course increased my confidence in my personal capacity and in myself as a working woman. I would strongly recommend the degree to others because of the flexibility it offers to study at one's own pace and its high quality."
