New online course - International Business Essentials

International Business Essentials. A view over London.

The University of London has launched a new six-part online course, 'International Business Essentials', to help learners develop their business and academic skills.

This series of massive open online courses (MOOCs) will help you broaden your knowledge, improve your prospects, and could make you eligible for the new Global MBA.

The first five MOOCs can be taken in any order. These are followed by an International Business Capstone, where you’ll apply your learning to a real-world scenario.

The six-part course requires approximately 125 hours of study in total.

It is now available on Coursera.

Alternative entry for the Global MBA

For direct entry into our new Global MBA, there are a number of core entry requirements, including academic qualifications and work experience.

If you do not have one of these core requirements, you can apply to join the programme via a second entry route.

Then, if accepted, you will be asked to complete this course and gain the certificate before you can register.

You do not need to enrol for the specialisation to apply for the Global MBA. However, if you have already registered or still intend to take the specialisation to enhance your skills, this may benefit your application.

If you still have a question, you may find your answer on our specialisation page.

Our pedigree

We currently offer 13 specialisations, most of which are related to degree programmes that we also offer via online learning.

In 2015, we achieved a learner satisfaction rating of 4.5 / 5 for our MOOCs, and some became award-winners.

Many are free to register. Browse the full list.
