UCL's virtual consultant

A 'Virtual Consulting Room' developed by a team led by Professor Owen Epstein (UCL Medicine) gives doctors access to specialist knowledge from their desktop. The application, designed to help doctors learn about specialist conditions, determine treatment and act within best practice guidelines, may also assist in improving and streamlining patient care. Papers discussing its use and potential are due to be published in the Journal of Telemedicine and Telecare.
