The International College of Economics and Finance (ICEF) was established in 1997, with the purpose of providing students with a world-class education in economics and related disciplines in Russia. ICEF is committed to attaining the highest standards of academic performance of its students. Of 439 graduates to date, 87 (19.8%) achieved Firsts, and 352 (80.2%) have achieved a degree with either First or Second class honours. 123 (28%) of ICEF graduates have continued their studies in the UK, the EU and the USA, in 49 different universities including the LSE (26). ICEF pays significant attention to the quality of teaching and research carried out by its staff. Academics from leading universities regularly visit ICEF, where they participate in ICEF's weekly research seminar and give lectures and classes to students. ICEF is conveniently located near the centre of Moscow. Red Square with its iconic St. Basil's Cathedral is no more than 25 minutes walking distance away from the College. Over the centuries, many historical figures such as Ivan the Terrible, Napoleon Bonaparte, Petr Tchaikovsky, Leo Tolstoy, Joseph Stalin, Yuri Gagarin, and Mikhail Gorbachev have all left an everlasting mark here. Studying at ICEF means you will be in the heart of an exciting, vibrant city with an amazing variety of things to see and do. Russia is one of the most dynamically developing economies and one of the BRIC countries, along with China, Brazil and India. For foreign students, the School of Russian Studies offers classes in Russian language and culture.
