Programme structures

Your progression through the awards - note there are two routes to this programme:
MSc and Postgraduate Diploma (MSc route) - listed below
AND MBA and Postgraduate Certificate (MBA route)

MSc and Postgraduate Diploma (MSc route)

MSc: you must complete 7 core courses, 4 electives, 120 hours plenary sessions and a compulsory research course and dissertation.

Postgraduate Diploma: you must complete 7 core courses and 4 electives.

Seven core courses:
International accounting and finance
International human resource management and organisational behaviour
Information systems and operations management
International marketing
International strategy
[Exit here after five core courses and receive the Postgraduate Certificate]
International business economics
Philosophy of management
PLUS four electives chosen from the following:
International sustainability management
China and the international economy
Advertising and promotional communication
Cooperative strategy
International business analysis
Corporate social responsibility
Management of Japanese multinationals
Multinational enterprise and the global economy
Investment management
Corporate finance
Knowledge management
International business law
Global financial markets
International entrepreneurship
[Exit here after 7 core courses and 4 electives and receive the Postgraduate Diploma]
PLUS Research course (Business research methods)
PLUS Plenary session (Group project plenary)
PLUS Research project (Dissertation)

Notes:
· Not all elective courses will necessarily be offered each year.
· You may take up to three courses as a Short course student (with the exception of the research course, dissertation and the plenary sessions).
