Diploma in Economics

Assessment

Each unit is assessed by one three-hour unseen written examination, and each half unit by one two-hour unseen written examination. For the unit 60 Introduction to information systems coursework/a project also counts towards the assessment.

You do not have to come to London to take your examinations. Examinations are held once a year in local overseas centres around the world as well as in London. Examinations overseas are arranged mainly through Ministries of Education or the British Council. You will be charged a fee by your local examination centre (this fee will vary).

Examinations are held in May or June, the examination timetable is drawn up each year after all the examination entry forms for a particular degree or diploma have been received.  For further information please see the Exams section of our website.

The Diploma in Economics is awarded with a grading of Distinction, Merit, Credit or Pass.
