You do not have to apply for a specific structure. You will be awarded the appropriate degree depending on the balance of law and accounting/management units you choose to take.
If you are planning to become a lawyer, we advise you to contact the legal professional body in the jurisdiction where you hope to practise before committing yourself to a particular plan of study, to find out if your degree will satisfy their entry requirements to the legal profession.
These two degrees are being withdrawn and will be awarded for the last time in 2013. They will continue to have Qualifying Law Degree (QLD) status only for students with effective registration dates of 1 May 2007 or earlier. Students who wish to obtain a programme with QLD status should apply for the LLB Laws programme.
For further information on these degrees for students pursuing a career in Law please see this notice [pdf: 2pgs, 39KB]. For a summary of current registration options please see this notice [pdf: 1pg, 35KB].
The University will continue to offer the EMFSS programmes BSc Accounting with Law, BSc Management with Law and BSc Sociology with Law.
