External and Intercollegiate Examiners' Reports
External Examiners are appointed from outside the University of London. An External Examiner's role is:
- to ensure that the standards set and achieved for the award are consistent with those of the national university system;
- to consider the extent to which the processes for the assessment of the University of London International Programmes students are sound and have been fairly conducted;
- to be involved and influential in the decision-making process of the Board of Examiners and to endorse the decisions made by the Board.

Intercollegiate Examiners are members of the academic staff of a College of the University of London other than the Lead College. The role is identical to that of an External Examiner, except there is the additional duty of ensuring the standards of the awards are comparable with those of other Colleges of the University of London. Intercollegiate Examiners are appointed at the discretion of the Lead College and according to Lead College policy.
