7 Progression within the programme
See section 3 for method of assessment.
Within the limits given below a student may decide when they are examined, the number of courses they attempt each year and the order in which courses are examined. A student does not have to be examined every year.
In any one year a student may attempt examinations in a minimum of 1 half course and a maximum of the equivalent of 2 full courses, excluding re-sits.
Progression from the Access Programme to the BSc Business Administration degree
A student registered for the Access programme may progress to the BSc Business Administration degree provided that:
- they have successfully completed the Access programme by passing the equivalent of two full courses or
- they already satisfy the entrance requirements for the degree
A student who is allowed to progress from the Access programme will be credited with the 2 full courses passed.
Previous attempts at the examinations for the Access programme will count towards the number of attempts permitted at the equivalent courses of the BSc Business Administration degree.
A student who has not completed the requirements for the Access programme but is permitted to transfer to the degree will not subsequently receive the award of the Access programme under any circumstances.
