Syllabus
The schools of thought covered in this subject are liberalism, particularly John Rawls' egalitarian liberalism; communitarianism, as articulated by Michael Sandel and Michael Walzer; libertarianism, as articulated by Robert Nozick. Specific topics will include the ideas of rights and freedoms, as well as the question of distributive justice amongst different cultural and ethnic groups, different countries, and across generations.
