Postgraduate study (Masters)

We offer postgraduate courses in the following subject areas:  Finance · Agriculture and Environment · Business and Management · Economics · Education · Health · Law · Social Sciences · Veterinary Science

Qualification structures

All qualifications have different structures and numbers of individual units or modules .

Postgraduate degrees (Masters)

We offer MA, MBA, MSc and LLM degrees. These are fully supported by the University of London, and additional local tuition support is available for some of these courses. Students studying for the MBA in International Management must attend 2 pleniary sessions during their period of registration. Masters degrees are awarded after completion of the course. You will normally require an Honours degrees (or equivalent achievement).

Postgraduate Diplomas

Postgraduate Diplomas are normally two-thirds of the study volume of the related Masters degree. Successful students may be able to progress to the related Masters degree with credit for units passed.

Postgraduate Certificates

Postgraduate Certificates are normally  one-third of the study volume of the related Masters degree. Successful students may be able to progress to the related Postgraduate Diploma with credit for units passed.

Diploma for Graduates

These are available in the fields of Economics, Management, Finance and the Social Sciences. They provide an excellent opportunity for those planning to undertake postgraduate study in these subject areas whose first degree is in an unrelated field, and therefore require more specialist knowledge in the subject, or those who want to acquire knowledge in a different field to the subject they studied at undergraduate level. The level of the course is equivalent to final year undergraduate.

Time commitment

With our flexible study period you can set your own pace. We generally allow you between 2-5 years to complete your degree. For diplomas and certificates we allow you between 1-5 years. On average, you should allocate between 10-20 hours per week to your study.

Student Ambassador Programme

For advice on choosing your degree you may also want to contact a Student Ambassador. Student Ambassadors are graduates who can assist new or prospective students studying for a University of London degree through the External System.

They can advise you of how they managed their studies successfully and offer tips about balancing their study with work and family commitments. We have Student Ambassadors in 15 countries.
