Schedule

When can I apply?

The application deadlines differ for each qualification. You are advised to submit your application as soon as possible, but no later than the applicable deadline date. Once received, your application will be processed.

If you miss the deadline date for your chosen subject, receipt of your application will be acknowledged and any original documents returned to you. Your application will be kept on file until the next admissions period begins.

How soon can I start studying?

Most postgraduate qualifications follow a timetable and this varies from subject to subject. You will need to refer to your chosen qualification; see the list of postgraduate qualifications and read the information about the study year. If you are eligible for admission, you will be sent an 'Offer letter', a registration form, a fee slip, an address confirmation form, a methods of payment form and a copy of the current Regulations. When we receive your completed registration form and fee, the Student Registry will send you confirmation of your registration and the Despatch Office will send you your study materials.

Do you accept late applications?

Although we try to remain flexible we can only guarantee that an application will be processed for the immediate intake if it is received before the deadline. If your application is received after the deadline date and it is not possible for your late application to be considered for the immediate intake the University will send you an acknowledgement of receipt and keep it on file until the next admissions period begins.

How long does it take to complete the degree?

The minimum period of registration for a postgraduate Diploma/Certificate is one year and the maximum period of registration is five years. The exceptions to this rule are the Postgraduate Certificate in Law and the Postgraduate Certificate in International Management which have a minimum period of registration of six months.

For a Masters degree the minimum period of registration is two years and the maximum period of registration is five years. The exceptions are the LLM which can be completed in a minimum of one year, the MA Applied Educational Leadership and Management which has a minimum of three years and the MSc Information Security where a maximum of four years is allowed.
