For many programmes you have the choice between applying by post or applying online.
If applying by post or in person you must complete the application form and submit it together with the application handling fee and fee slip (where payable) and all the required documentary evidence in support of your application. You can download the application form and fee slip from the webpage for your chosen qualification, or receive it with your application pack.
Before you submit your application, use the 'check list' at the end of your application form to make sure that you have included everything.
If you are submitting an online application and payment for your qualification of interest you will still need to submit your documentary evidence separately with the accompanying Document Enclosure Form [pdf: 1pg, 32KB] which you will need to print out and submit either by post or in person.
If you want to study one of the five Diplomas in Computing and Information Systems, Creative Computing, Economics, Law or Social Sciences you will need to contact the independent institution that is offering tuition for instructions on how to apply.
You are required to submit evidence of all your qualifications that will be considered in support of your application. If an original certificate is unavailable for any reason, you may either submit any other evidence that you have relating to the qualification(s) or submit your application without this evidence and await our initial response. We will then confirm exactly what evidence you need to submit.
Please include a covering letter with your application if you need to explain why the documents are unavailable.
You must either send the original certificate for each qualification or you should contact the awarding body / examination authority and arrange for it to send a certified statement of results direct to the Admission Office (to the same address as stated on the application form). When sending original documents through the post we strongly advise that you use registered mail or recorded delivery and that you include payment of £10 sterling for their return by this method. This payment of £10 sterling can be added to the application handling fee (where payable) by amending the application fee slip.
You will be required to provide translations of your documents if they are not already in English. Only a translation by an official translator is acceptable to the University. Your local British Council [external link] may be able to provide addresses of official translators.
