I applied to a BA French Literature at the University of London. External System while I was working in Kuwait with a humanitarian organisation. I kept studying while posted on different assignments and was able to sit the yearly exams at the British Councils in the various countries where I was posted (Colombia, Ethiopia). I found it highly motivating to work during the day and to study in the evening, especially when I was posted in remote places somehow cut from the rest of the world !

My readings and studying were always a pleasure and never a burden. Although it took me a while to get myself in the examination mood, I very much looked forward to receiving comments from the tutors or examinations results. My experience with the University of London International Programmes has been extremely positive and rewarding. The University offered me the possibility to combine both work and studies at a time of my life when I was ready and available to do both. The excellent booklets received from the University were regularly updated ; past papers were made available for preparing the exams and administrative matters were handled  with great professionalism by Senate House staff.
